Top 4 Holiday Gifts for the Creative Lover in Your Life

The definitive guide to help you get that special someone a present they’ll never forget

Wow, 2020. What. A. Year. Think back to the last NYE in 2019, ringing in this new decade with friends and family, and we had so much hope. Our collective spirit was bubbling with joy and jubilant reverie for our accomplishments.

This may as well be the best visualization of our hopes and dreams capping off 2019 with all the holiday spirit at that fabulous NYE party you attended with a bunch of people at 11:59 pm:

Then, at 12:00 am, 2020 entered:

Really, the only thing I had that kept me going was knowing I’d be writing this listicle for the holidays. This is a glorious opportunity where once a year I get to flounce away from the corporate office talk for a quirky tongue in cheek whirlwind. It’s like I finally get to say, “Mitch, the whole time I was on those zoom calls during the first lockdown I was wearing sweatpants with that suit and tie”, and then Mitch replies, “Confession time, I wasn’t wearing any pants at all”.

It’s this type of repartee I want to share with you, dear reader, because it was this cultural tone that really was the glue that kept the whole team at Masterpiece Studio together during these arduous months, especially the dad jokes at our daily standups. Anyway, moving on. Jeez, you must be thinking, “Am I reading a blog post for a cooking recipe?”. You’re just trying to find how to make the Chili dish, but yikes, you have to first read about the author’s trip during their 3rd marriage with 5 kids, all of whom are picky eaters, crammed into an old Winnebago during a hurricane.

Okay, okay, okay. Drum roll, please!

Facebook CEO, helps creative lovers get started with this affordable and high-quality product.

Affordable. Lightweight. Slick looking and with an Oculus link it runs 1000s of PC games and most importantly Masterpiece Studio. It is a great entry-level device and it will get you started in VR with style.

Frankly, it’s…

FYI. My boss thinks this is stylish

Believe it or not, I don’t sport or game. I’ve never sported, and I’ve gamed only a handful of times, mostly when feeling nostalgic and I dust off the old PS1 and give FF7 a whirl. That said, this game looks insane, and all of my colleagues won’t stop talking about it. I may end up becoming a gamer yet. I mean- Cyberpunk 2077 is the pinnacle of our current cultural zeitgeist. This game is guaranteed to excite your creative lover many times over.

Additional Winning Version is The Cyberpunk 2077 (Matchy Matchy)

I bought one of these fabulous chairs recently. When Adam, our project manager, found out about our Wednesday Zoom call the following factual verbatim conversation happened:

Adam: My dude, you are one of the most committed creative lovers so I see why you would want a good chair, but why a gaming chair? You don’t game.

Me: As a creative lover, if you’re going to be in one position for a long time, you’ve got to protect your butt and back. Use your brain. Be a Titan. Get a Titan.

Adam: My dude, that’s great advice. Btw, I don’t know if we should be calling ourselves creative lovers. Something sounds off about it.

Me: Not as off as your back without the support. Plus the chair looks like a Star Trek prop.

As creative lovers we are a dedicated type of folk, and really will work hard until the job is done. A Dyson fan makes the perfect gift to cool down your creative lover after they’ve had a spurt of artistic passion. Bonus if you get a dual cool and heat Dyson!

There you have it! Unlike the Spotify “Your Year Unwrapped” that reminded everyone how depressed we all are, this holiday list will provide some excellent suggestions and remind you that your creative lovers are the best and should be pampered lavishly.

Happy Holidays everyone!
