  • No, Masterpiece Studio is a PCVR app and cannot run on Mac OS.

    You have two options:

With a powerful enough GPU, you may be able to run Parallels or Boot Camp on your mac to run a windows install.

You can use a service like Shadow.Tech to run a remote virtual PC and install Masterpiece Studio Pro on this software. This includes many challenges and troubleshooting that go beyond this channel as these are unsupported software packages.

  • Yes. Masterpiece Studio Pro will work on Oculus (Rift, Rift S, Quest 2 with link), HTC (Vive, Vive Pro, Pro Eye, Cosmos), Windows Mixed Reality (Acer, Dell Visor, Lenovo Explorer, HP Reverb, Samsung Odyssey), and Valve Index.

Minimum Hardware: Windows 10, 64-bit CPU: Intel i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 RAM: 16GB RAM GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD RX 580 HDD: 4GB

Recommended: Windows 10, 64-bit CPU: Intel i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 RAM: 32GB RAM GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 DirectX: Version 11 HDD: 5GB Oh, and a VR headset.

    See all requirements here.

  • If you’re using Virtual Desktop to connect:

    • We don’t officially support Virtual Desktop (VD) right now so this could be a VD issue.

    • Try connecting the Quest via Link Cable and enjoy the higher quality visual experience while you’re there.

    Other Troubleshooting Tips:

    • Did you start Creator or Motion with your headset already connected to the Oculus Home environment or the Steam VR environment?

    • Try launching Steam VR manually first and make sure Creator or Motion has a VR environment to launch into before launching the Studio Launcher app.

If you have tried the above and are still experiencing issues with your controllers please send us a bug report using the Issue and Feedback Report form in the left navigation bar of the Masterpiece Studio Pro Desktop launcher.

  • First check to see that your system meets our minimum spec requirements.

If it does, here are some things you can try to improve the framerate:

Lowering the Render Scale in the Settings from the Home dashboard

Lowering the Anti-Aliasing in the Settings from the Home dashboard

    Use lower res layers

Close any GPU intensive or RAM intensive apps, eg Chrome, with lots of tabs open.

When lowering the render scale and anti-aliasing, the quality in the headset will decrease but it won't affect the quality of the model for export.

  • Masterpiece Studio currently supports the Oculus Quest / Quest 2 with the a link cable connected to a VR-Ready PC, as well as through the AirLink option.
